Welcome to the Christow Women’s Institute
For over 100 years the WI has been allowing women to influence Government policy by campaigning and giving women a voice to become a force for good in their communities. The WI is the largest women’s organisation in the UK being a trusted place for women of all generations to share experiences and learn from each other.
Christow WI welcomes new members from all the villages in the Teign Valley currently having more than 20 new and established members. We are a vibrant, thriving group where you can be sure of a warm welcome. It’s not all about Jam and Jerusalem but opportunities for socialising, friendship, support, learning and much more.
We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month in The Teign Valley Community Hall in Christow at 2pm. There is normally a speaker and always tea and cake as well as news of events that members can opt to attend from Devon and National federations of WI. We have monthly lunches where members can meet, enjoy some good food and put the world to rights. If you like to read, there is the opportunity to swap and discuss books you have read.
Whether you are young, or not so young, but young at heart come and give us a try.
